The Same Sun, The Only One
In the sky, shedding light,
Across the world, shining bright.
Do eyes see without the light?
Do hearts perceive without the light?
Open your eyes, for the day is bright!
Before the dawn, there was night,
Darkness abounding, full of ignorance,
Unconscious was the intellect.
"I was a hidden treasure, I loved to be known,
So I created creation in order to be known,"
"Kuntu Kanzan Makhfiyyan."
Time began with the Sun's first ray,
Stars' movements and the Moon's sway.
Time is measured by these rotations.
Bringing warmth, causing growth,
Dispelling darkness, the Luminant,
The same Sun, the only One!
Inna arsalnaka Shahidan wa Mubashshiran wa Nazeera
Wa Daaeyan ila Allahi bi-iznihi wa Sirajan Muneera.
Guide us by His light, O illuminated Prophet!
